Can this be done, and if so could someone tell me/what I need in order to do it?

Some specifics about the Mac I have...I am running Lion and I bought my Macbook Pro (new) less than a year ago (Thanksgiving 2011).

My TV's: One is a brand new HD Vizio and another is a HD Samsung. HDMI cables can be connected.

Thank You!

You need a Thunderbolt to HDMI cable, and you are in. Look on Amazon, something like the monoprice one is fine, you don't need the expensive apple store one.

Just turn on Display mirroring, make sure Sys Pref>Audio>output is set to display, and you're in.

Play your videos full screen and the TV will mirror your mbp

This is what I use to connect my MBP to my TV. If you can find one cheaper somewhere else, go for it.
