First, I'd like to thank this community for wonderful help and also to apologize if this is wrong section of forums for this question. But, if I was to going to connect my macbook to TV and use TV screen as a monitor, would these items work?

Just wanting to make sure these with these two items (and only two) I will be able to see my screen on TV screen. I ask because I have seen multiple ways (and cables) that accomplish this task and am not wanting to purchase the wrong items.
