Hi there! I am very new to this so please excuse me if I ask a stupid question or one that has been answered before.
I have a Macbook (7,1) and I would like to connect it to the TV. I have a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable and have attempted connecting it to my Macbook and TV but I can't seem to get anything to show on the screen.
Have I got a cable which will work? And if so, how do I do it?

cable so the only reason i can think about is that your TV is not on the right input source... i guess you checked it out already but just make sure the cable is plugged in perfectly and your TV is in the HDMI source.
