Hi all, thank you for considering my question.

We're trying to connect our first 13" MacBook (details in sig)...

To our first HD TV.....

I'm trying to understand what adapter and cable I need.

I already have the DVI=>VGA adapter, and am using it to connect our laptop to a 20inch Dell monitor. Works fine.

I'm not sure if this adapter will also work for TV. If yes, I'll need a 10-12' cable to go between laptop and back of TV. No idea what such a cable might be called or where to get it.

The manual suggests a Mini-DV to Video adapter. Don't know if this is the same thing as the Mini-DV to VGA adapter.

As you can see, I don't know much.

User reviews of adapters on the Apple site do not paint a pretty picture, so I thought I'd best learn more before ordering.

Thanks for any advice you may be able to share!
