Connecting MBA via TB also gives extra ports?

As the Apple Thunderbolt Display comes with additional ports, I wonder whether you can give access to the iMac's ports to the MBA when connected via TB.

This is obviously assuming both are the latest models.

In that mode, the iMac is a display only. The iMac ports are not available to the MBA.
