Connecting MBP 2012 retina to 34WK95U-W?

I've mid 2012 MBP retina.

Bought Asus MX34VQ. Loved the ultrawide format. But the screen is blurry (Not retina). I think I'll return it . Thinking of hooking 2012 MBPr with LG new 5K ultrawide.

Do you think it'll work? Not gaming or doing hardcore stuff.

I am not 100% certain, but I think you must have a Mac with TB3 to use the full 5120x2160 at 60Hz on that monitor. Also a 2012 retina MBP may have too old GPU to output that anyway.

It's blurry. Not 4K. Not used to it. Returning this monitor. Next monitor Im gonna try is 27UD59P
