So I've read there have been multiple complaints about issues connecting Bluetooth devices (Apple and third party) to M1 Macs, with one article claiming that there was meant to be a fix in 11.2.

I've never connected a Bluetooth device before (to anything) but in the process of buying a wireless keyboard and mouse - both third party - to use with my (base) M1 MBA.

I have a couple of questions before I drop £100+ on these...

  • Can I connect two third party devices wirelessly via Bluetooth to an M1 MBA and use them both at the same time (e.g. keyboard and mouse)?
  • How widespread are the problems - are they tolerable (e.g. dropping connection once a week) or something worse?
  • Should I just buy a wired or wireless (via mini USB receiver and dock) keyboard/mouse instead to save problems and just put up with the cables (ughhh..)?
  • Any recommendations for a reasonably priced and reliable keyboard and mouse? (Doesn't have to be mechanical)

Apologies for so many questions and thanks in advance.

Ordinarily yes, but your experience may vary.

For me it was every 20-39 seconds. But it's working fine now with 11.2.2.

I bought a wireless. It did not help. Still was buggy so I sent its back.

I would stay away from Logitech, as they have announced the end of support for Big Sur products.
