So i have had my 2007 macbook connected to my tv for over a year now, and i get my new mbp 15" and i noticed that the mini display port is not the same so i am out and pick up a apple mini display port but it does not work with the 12' of DVI cable i have running from my to upto the adapter, why is that?
So on the lest is the cable coming out of the tv, the middle is the current adapter, i believe its a dvi to mini dvi adapter, and on the right is the new dvi to mini display port, as you can tell from the picture they are different plug ins, i do not know much about this so can someone please clarify? and also link to or suggest what i need, did i buy the wrong adapter or are my cable wrong?
