Hi there,
I have a MacBook pro which is a couple of years old and about 6 months ago I bought a Samsung SyncMaster 2443NW as an external monitor. The monitor produces a rather annoying buzz/hiss when in operation, which at first I thought was the standard drone that most electrical appliances make, but which I have subsequently decided that is louder than the usual.
Now I know you're thinking that this is probably a Samsung problem, but the incredibly strange thing is that when I activate Dashboard on my Mac, the sound cuts right down to an acceptable level!
Of course when I close Dashboard the sound returns to its previously annoying level...
any ideas?!
thanks a lot
Rich
