I just got a T260 HD monitor and hooked it up to my macbook. is there a way to use it as the primary screen rather than additional real estate? i want the dock and hard drive accessible on the monitor, not on the 13 inch screen on the macbook. any suggestions?

could it be that the dock is there but that there is some problem with your resolution? there where some complaints with some samsung televisions that they had this border all around the screen that wasn't displayed.

got it all sorted

it was totally just a matter of getting it all adjusted properly. there are some resolution issues when you set it up to fullscreen (i.e. it doesn't look great but my macbook is a couple of years old). works fine now and loving the monitor.
