I just got a new 46in Sharp Aquos - LC-46SE94U - and have a mini-dvi->hdmi connection for video and a left/right RCA analog audio cable but i can't seem to find a way to get the Sharp to recognize I want the hdmi with the audio. It wants hdmi audio but I can'ts gives it. Any help?

According to this instruction manual (page 10/PDF page 12), your TV has three HDMI inputs, with Input 6 (third HDMI input) having Audio L/R inputs as well. Try that one.

I had this problem when I hooked up mine. I had plugged the HDMI into port 1 and the audio rca plugs into the dvi audio-in but did not read in the manual that for DVI audio I would have to use HDMI 2. Simple mistake.
