Hey everybody.

Is there any way I can connect my MBP Model A1211 to my LG flat screen?

Here's the ports to my TV

Which cables do I need? Or is this even possible?

Actually I do have a question

Link was to this cable but looking at my MBP the port doesn't have the gap in the middle.

Is this the correct cable?

That cable will work.

The gap indicates a SINGLE-LINK DVI cable, the MBP you have has a DUAL-LINK DVI port, but the DL DVI port does accept an SL DVI cable.
The SL DVI cable is able to transfer 1920 x 1080 pixel to your TV, the DL DVI port is used to connect a display with a resolution of up to 2560 x 1600 (30") to it.
DVI (Digital Visual Interface)
The successor of VGA, which is capable of analog and digital video transfer, though Apple restricted their adapters to DVI-D, which is purely digital.

DVI cables can be bought online from:

One last question.

Is there any way to hook up the sound from my MacBook Pro without using the sound ports? Perhaps USB? I know this seems weird but I just spent a pretty penny replacing the left I/O board since the previous owner crated the red light/no sound issue on the laptop. I'm scared I'll mess it up again.

Basically is there a USB to red and white sound cables? Or another alternative to using the sound ports
