Connecting my PC to mac to transfer files?

Hey,

On apples website i say i can transfer my files to my new mac via a few methods, the one i'm interested in is via a ethernet cable.

Can anyone explain how to do this or direct me to a website that will show me?

I followed a guide on a different site, but basically the same as what Makosuke posted. I went the route of enabling sharing on my pc and then connecting to it with my Mac. Very easy. Now I just have to wait the 8+ hours for my music to transfer over.
