Hey guys,
I'm having an issue with connecting a 50'' samsung smart tv to my mac pro.
It's connected via an amped HDMI cable that goes into the HDMI slot in my mac.
A week ago it worked and I was able to use it as a 3rd monitor to show clients (I work as an editor) and now the tv is telling me that there is no signal and I should..
1) check cable connection and settings of source device.
2) press source on your remote control to select the connected source device.
In system prefs - displays, the mac knows there's a samsung and acknowledges it as a third monitor. Even in About This Mac - Displays, the computer is telling me the samsung is there.. But still there's no image on the tv.
My I.T guy recently updated the mac to Yosemite 10.10, and I'm wondering if that's the major issue. Do we need a driver to connect a tv to a computer?
Cheers guys. Any help will be appreciated.
