I've finished configuring Samba for a fileserver on my Linux box FINALLY. So, here's my question. How can I make OS X automatically connect to it? Right now, I have to manually go re-attach it every time I even wake from sleep. Is there a way to do this?

Mount your SMB share using Finder, then open your account prefs, login items.

Click the plus sign, then select the mount point from the mini-finder window that pops up.

Each time you log in, it will auto mount. This works just for your account though. If you share the Mac, other accounts won't be auto mounted unless you add the mount point to the other accounts' login items.

Caveat: this works with afp mounts from another Mac, but I haven't actually tried it with an SMB mount.
