Connecting to another Mac wirelessly in XP

I'm trying to use an iMac as an AirPort base station with the built-in card, but I cannot connect to it in XP on a C2D MacBook.

It works fine in OS X. In XP, it shows up in the list of wireless networks, and has full signal strength (as it should, being about a foot away) but it won't connect.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Any suggestions?

Check this:

Control Panel
navigate to Network Connections
Right-click your wireless network connection and select 'properties'
click the 'advanced' tab along the top of the window that opens
make sure your internet connection sharing settings are correct (i.e. allow where necessary)
