Connecting to Facebook on Adium

When I connect to Facebook on Adium through the Jabber XMPP protocol, and later try to delete it, I am faced with either "Delete and Unregister" or simply "Delete." Does unregistering myself from the Jabber server cause my facebook chat service to be unregistered? What is the difference between those two implementations?
