Connecting to Headless Mac server at the login screen.

Mac Mini running Mac OS 15.2.

I have a Mac Mini headless server (running the normal Mac OS 15.2 version not the server version and with a dongle that imitates a screen being connected) in a wired network with only Macs in the network.

If I reboot the MM I need to connect a screen and keyboard to enter username + password.

Using screensharing, I cannot access the Mini at this point.

Is there a way to connect to it at this point over the wired network or maybe Bluetooth? All my mice and keyboards are however wired USB connections. So Bluetooth could be the iPhone.

Screensharing and for example TeamViewer do not work at that stage. Alternatively, I connect to it with the iPhone.

Let me know if you have or know of a solution.

This is a FileVault limitation. There's no remote access to this screen if the machine is secured. Solution is to turn off FileVault if you need that.

aha FileVault, could have thought about that. no FileVault is needed. so thanks for your help.
