I am trying to share my 1tb external hard drive (connected to my mac) to my macs and pc's. It works fine for macs, but it wont share to my to my mini-laptop running on xp. What service can i use to share this hard drive across the network?

Have you turned on Windows sharing in the Sharing section of System Preferences? Also, after doing that you'll need to add the drive to the list of shared folders, for it to work.
