connecting to remote desktop- password field acting like spacebar is stuck

Hi,

I am new to these forums and a fairly new MacBook user. I am trying to connect to my work PC through GoToMyPC and when I go to type in my password in the Windows XP log in screen, the password field is acting as though the spacebar is stuck and I can't delete the spaces to type in my password. How can I fix this???:confused:
