I have a WD TV Live Plus hub on my network that I connect my WD Passport into to run my media but I want to be able to stream my media from my macbook pro on my network. From the MBP, I can see the WD but can't connect to it. I use a Belkin router. I have spoken to WD and they went back and forth but couldn't seem to help me.

I run OS X 10.6.4 Snow Leopard and have shared my folders to read and write.

Any tips?

This is probably a dead thread....but I had the WD player and it works great with my MacBook Pro. I have the firewall turned off and have no problems with it. I have my iTunes library set to use it and have movies that play from it via WiFi with no lag. i would try updating your router firmware or maybe a different router. I am using a D-Link DIR-655 Extreme N Gigabit Wireless Router without issue.

good luck...
