Connecting watch to Xcode for testing?

I can't seem to find out how to do this online and since the watch "wirelessly" charges and there's no connection port I was wondering how this was done.

How are builds placed on the watch from Xcode?

So for every test build apps will need to wirelessly download and build on the watch?

I don't think builds are building on the watch currently, I think the phone is running the app and sending a display to the watch.
