connecting wii with iMac

i'm using an 2011 iMac and i'm trying to connect Wii to the computer but i'm not sure now i'm able to do it.
can anyone please tell me what to buy in order to connect them?

AFAIK, you can't. 2011 iMacs iMacs support Target Display Mode, but only when the device they are connected to is also a Thunderbolt-equipped Mac

I do not believe that you will be able to connect a Wii directly to an iMac via thunderbolt. You will likely have to procure a USB video capture device. This will enable you to view Wii (and other analog video devices) on the Mac.
