I was attempting to replace the display on my early 2015 13" mbp and when i went to remove the hinge screws i noticed a connection that was disconnected (and unfortunately the prongs bent beyond repair). I have enclosed a pic of this connection and am wondering what exactly it is for and if this is my problem and not the display itself. I replaced the display approx. 12 months ago. The laptop slid off a couch and landed on its corner where the hinge is, perhaps 18-20" off the floor. (And yes I know, i have a torx #5 stripped out screw to deal with as well if I indeed need to replace the display! I'm hoping to avoid that.)
