Connection Options for Ultrawide 1080p & tbMBP

I've got an hdmi dongle that supports up to 1080p 60hz and it doesn't work on my LG Ultrawide 2560 x 1080 @ 60hz and will only do resolutions less than that.

What are my options for hookups to my new 15" tbMBP at the native resolution for the monitor? The only connection on the monitor is HDMI.

Guess you will need to get a different dongle, Apple`s own digital multi port adaptor works on LG`s ultra wide 21:9 display, I have a 2015 rMB & LG 34". This is the problem with this dongle nonsense, you really have to use the manufacturers own adaptors and "pay through the nose" for it or risk endless incompatibility issues.
