Connection problem with calls (long distance)

Here is the problem (To sum it up quickly)

Me calling people in the US - No connection problem
Other people from US calling me - No connection problem

Me calling someone from Toronto - No connection problem
That same person calling from Toronto to me - No connection problem

Someone called me from Hong Kong - no connection problem
I call to Hong Kong - HUGE CONNECTION PROBLEM

I receive 3-5 secs blanks every 30 seconds.
That person was talking, and I couldn't hear a thing. I kept saying "hello? Hello? hello?" When I hear that person again, I asked: "did you hear me kept saying hello to you just now?" that person said "yes I did..."

What is going on?
It only happens when I call, and only happened to me lately.
When a person in Hong Kong called me, the connection is fine....

This is bothering me.
