Hi guys,
I'm writing this thread because I have severe issues with the connectivity of my Eve Flare which I use with the Eve app and the Apple Home app.
Just some info: The Flare doesn't connect over WiFi. Instead it connects over Bluetooth Low Energy.
The setup: Apple TV is next to my TV and about 1 m away is the Flare.
Whenever I'm about 1-2 m away from the Flare with my iPhone I have no problems whatsoever controlling the Flare.
But: Whenever I'm more meters away (even just about 4-5 m with direct line of sight to the Flare) I most often can't control the light at all. I would assume (and the support also confirmed this) that the Flare either connects
a) to the iPhone or
b) to the Apple TV when you're farer away.
So maybe the issue is related to the connection "Flare <--> Apple TV" (even though I would assume that even my iPhone should have a direct connection to the Flare when I'm just a few meters away with no obstacles in between).
I already re-paired the light 3 times over the course of the last few months but that didn't help. What's also strange is that when I got the light last year I pretty much didn't have this issue at all. It's like this problem magically appeared ;-) If anyone has any idea on how to solve this issue I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance and best wishes
Chris
