Hello,
I'm quite new to Mac, just a couple of months. Well, as soon as I installed my Mac Mini I set-up the VPN PPP connection to my office Windows server. It worked immediately.
I didn't use it often, but when I tried to do it yesterday it was no more working. The log I get from ppp.log is the following (for confidentiality purposes I removed the server name and its IP address and replaced with "omissis"):
Thu Mar 19 23:24:24 2009 : PPTP connecting to server "omissis"
Thu Mar 19 23:24:25 2009 : PPTP connection established.

Thu Mar 19 23:24:55 2009 : Connection terminated.
Thu Mar 19 23:24:55 2009 : PPTP disconnecting...
Thu Mar 19 23:24:55 2009 : PPTP disconnected
Practically the commuication stops even before any authentication (infact the message is the same if I change user name or password).
Of course this connection work in the same LAN using a Windows XP PC.
Searching for it on the internet I found that this problem was typical with older versions of Mac OS, but seems quite new with Mac OS X 10.5.6 (and in fact at least one month ago this connection was working!).
What I did in the meantime? well just installing some software and uninstalling some other software, but nothing related to core applications.
And of course some apple update (I didn't track if there was one related to networking).
Any hint?
Thanks
