I bought the ConnectPro Master-IT USB switch to share keyboard, mouse & monitor between my PC and Powermac. It didn't work very well at first and I did a search. I found some post on some forum where the guy gave very specific instructions on how you had to hook it up in some special sequence to get it to work properly. I did that and ... voila ... it worked GREAT!

Well, then the hard drive crapped out on my Powermac and I had to disconnect it all.

Now, I CAN'T FIND the forum post that told me how to hook it all up correctly. Now the numlock pad on the apple keyboard doesn't work and I've got the blues.

KVM Procedure

In case this issue is still plaguing you, I belive this is the best way to connect a USB KVM Switch..

First connect the Power adapter
Then connect the Console devices
Then proceed with connecting the KVM cable to Port 1, etc.

USB can be fickle, my friend... you may always reset the switch by disconnecting EVERYTHING, and starting from scratch after a 10 minute break.
