Enjoying the activity competitions in watchOS 5. However I haven't found a way to run consecutive competitions - seems that you need to wait until the morning after a competition ends, and get the results, and then you can invite the same person again to a competition which will start the following day. This means it isn't easy to challenge someone over, say, 5 weeks and give a prize/impose a penalty over that continuous period as you will lose a day at each competition end.

Am I missing something?

No, it seems like this is the way it works.
