iPhone 11 Pro Max Considering a used 11 pro max, is the GPS wonky?

My mate uses an 11 PM and on Strava his tracks are all over the place at certain waypoints and I'm wondering if it's due to the wonky GPS on the phone itself? My Samsung works perfectly on Strava though.
