We have AT&T now and are considering switching to T-Mobile just out of principle. I pay $141/month on AT&T for 3 lines and it would be $140 on T-mobile. Only $1 difference though they do pay $10.99 towards my netflix which is nice.
I know when you switch they will pay off your phones from your previous carrier. However we're not under contract with AT&T. Our phones are on the iphone upgrade program and are unlocked. I assume t-mobile isn't going to pay phones off on this program?

I switched from ATT to T-Mobile 2 years and I could not be happier. Best move I made was to dump ATT. We travel a lot and being able to text and use google or Apple maps driving around at no extra costs has been awesome.

I don't have any issues with AT&T's service. Just with them as a company. No issues with coverage or speed anywhere i've gone. I know t-mobiles network has grown by leaps and bounds in the past year though.

If you live out of the city. I wouldn’t switch. Or drive on highways a lot.
Almost always in a city. Looking at the coverage map it looks like it will be fine. According to the map for my area coverage looks to be identical to AT&T.

Get a T-mobile phone and test out the network before switching. In my area, AT&T and Verizon provide near equal service while T-Mobile was slightly worse. I still switched to T-Mobile because it was substantially cheaper. There uncarrier PR is just that, ever since I've joined, they have become more carrier like (e.g. HDPass) so I wouldn't say they are much better than AT&T with regards to ethics.

I switched from att a couple years ago.

T Mobile is absolute crap compared to att in every way.

T mobile has what I call fake LTE in so many areas. Meaning it shows good signal strength yet the phone is hardly usable.

When I travel for work I get effed over by t mobile every time. Everyone in the group not on t mobile will have good signal and I’ll have crap or nothing.

So frustrating. I should never have switched.

I say switch back to ATT then if you’re having so many issues with T-Mobile. I have ZERO complaints and excellent service with T-Mobile all over the USA and their partners worldwide.
