I currently have a 17" iMac 2Ghz, and am considering an upgrade.

Its not a neccessity, but a nice to have.

If I were to go for the 20" iMac (here in spain the 24" is 300 euro more) what in real terms would be my performance boost ?

Is there a hit from the integrated graphics... my iMac has a 128mb x1600 (i think) and I'm happy with it.

I could then upgrade my wife from the mini to the imac and setup the mini as a file and print server.

if the performance improvement for me will not be substantial, I probably wont bother until the next round of upgrades.

I use my mac for ilife (music photos and home movies) and gaming cnc3 civ4.

All advice appreciated.

Thanks

No replies ?

From what I can figure out, it seems the mini would be an ok upgrade and much cheaper than the iMac.

This assumption is based on the possibility of more RAM which runs faster, the faster buses and the Open CL possibilities once Snow Leopard is released.

Did I miss something ?

Thanks:confused:
