Hello:

I travel a lot and I'm considering purchasing the verizon MiFi for my MBP. I was going to choose the 5GB/month plan. Two quick questions...

Anyone else use the MiFi with their MBP? Thoughts/Issues with it?

Is 5GB a month plan sufficient if I surf the net a couple of hours each night?
I've never really considered my usage in terms of GBs.

THANKS!!

If your doing regular stuff like just surfing, looking, blogs, ebay. Youll be fine. but if you do much movie, such as downloading any type of movie, or watch alot of flash stuff, youll burn through it pretty quick. Also, vid chat will eat it up as well. But basically data intensive stuff will go through 5gb in no time. But I think youll be disappointed with the speed. Im pretty sure 3G vzw has a max of 1.5 mb sec. So at my apt. i seem to get anywhere from 13 to 18 mb sec(cable). Air card is handy, i wish i had one, but there will be no Hulu, ichat video wont work(i think). I think vid stuff doesnt work as well b/c the download is faster than upload, which causes issues.
