Hi,
Looking for for a best practice bit of advice here. I’ve got a 2017 27” Retina 5k iMac, 3.5 GHz Intel Core i5 with 40 GB of RAM. The hard drive is a 1 TB Fusion drive.
To keep the internal drive free for applications, I have all of my working files on 4 2 TB external hard drives, back those up to a 5th 10 TB external hard drive, then back all of that up to a cloud based service.
I recently got a 16 TB external hard drive and am wondering this:
Would it make sense to move the data on the 10 TB hard drive onto the 16 TB hard drive, then move all the data on the 2 TB hard drives onto the 10 TB hard drive thus reducing the number of external hard drives connected to my iMac?
Thanks -
Michael
