So -

Out of curiosity - is anyone getting the following error on ATT's website when they check to see their eligibility?

An Error Has Occurred

Just curious as it could indicate a database update prior to tomorrow's event.

Of course - it could just be my account and/or mean nothing....

Dial *NEW# aka *639# ( a free phone call ) and you will receive a free AT&T SMS Txt message with your upgrade eligibility status and if a fee is required.

Database update or not, mine did suddenly change. Bought an iPhone 4 3 weeks after launch; checked two weeks ago and it was still showing 3/4/2012. Just now, it's now been bumped to 12/4/2011.

(Solo line, cheapest minutes plan, FAN discount, unlimited data, 1500 texts. Bill is usually around $70 with taxes.)

mine says I am eligible on 11/18/11. Which is 6 months earlier than the end of my two years.

Usually with iPhones they let you upgrade early. We'll see.

My wife's line was scheduled for a upgrade in March/12 and she got bumped to this week and my line was scheduled for Dec/11 and I got bumped to March/12. Called at&t to ask what happened and they said that my wife's line was the primary line. The funny thing is that we both got the iP4 the same day last year (July/10).

Sorry but nothing funny here just the normal cycle. Based on your comment about a primary line. You have a FamilyTalk rate plan and your wife's line is the primary line so it has a much higher MRC then your add-a-line that is $9.99 + any features.

You don't split the rate plan. I would guess that your wife's line has a MRC above $69.99 per month.

As much as people bitch about AT&T they are actually pretty generous about contract renews. After all you did sign a 2 year contract. Which for many of you would have to wait till closer to the Iphone 6. Also the last few years AT&T has upgraded tons of people early so they can get shinny new iPhone. not much of a conspiracy theory if you ask me.

That's exactly what we have.
