Hello,
First-time poster here. I have an iMac running Lion and a Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard. Whenever I mount an SMB share from my D-Link DNS-323 NAS on either of these Macs, the NAS hard drives are accessed approximately every 10 seconds even if I'm not using them. This prevents the NAS drives from spinning down after a period of inactivity. As soon as I eject the SMB share from the Macs, the drive activity stops.
What could be causing this, and is there any way to stop it?
Thanks
