When I have Carbonite enabled (IE: not in pause mode) my entire computer freezes for 5-10 seconds every minute or two. As soon as I pause the Carbonite process everything is hunky dory. Any ideas on how to prevent this?
I have enough bandwidth that it's not a problem to run the process while I'm using the machine it's just that the application itself is freezing my entire computer! Carbonite has been useless in their response... they just paste a 2 page explanation for "Why your Upload Takes a Long Time".
Mac Pro 2008, 8 cores, 18GB RAM, 750GB 3-drive RAID0 stripe (could this be the culprit somehow?).
