Does anyone else have the issue, when the MacBook retina is flat, you begin charging it and when there's enough charge the 'boot' sound occurs..... And then does it constantly at what appears at 2 minute intervals, even if the lid is closed? It'll stop once you open it and log in.
 
Are you sure this is the boot sound? I'm seeing similar behavior for the plugged-in sound: the MacBook keeps acting like it is disconnected and reconnected if the battery is low and I'm charging while using it.
 
Yes. Im very sure its the boot sound 'Chime'.

has anyone else let the laptop run flat and then charge it with it closed to see if it too occurs?
