Constant network activity since TvOS 15.1

Since I updated both my ATV4K and ATVHD I have a constant network activity from my ATVs. This was not something I had before.

The amount of data is not large, but it annoys me and I can’t figure out what it is.

Both units are connected through ethernet. While I previously had the switch lights flicker now and then with periods of no activity. Now I have constant activity on both units. If I disconnect the ATVs the network activity stops (can be observed on the switches).

Turning on and off analytics does nothing.

Now this not a that big issue but it irritates me to have this constant network activity. Has anyone noticed this and figured out what it is?

I think my ATVs have become sentient, the network activity is between the devices. Disconnecting one from the network stops the activity.


But why is the question.

tvOS 15.2 has resolved this issue.
