I’m constantly being asked to sign in to my Apple account, several times a day. In fact, right now I’ve been asked for the second time in ten minutes. Running 26.1 in my 17 pro max.

Where exactly are you being asked to sign in? Does it say where the request is coming from?

One possible cause is that you have apps installed from different Apple Accounts. Whenever there's an app update, you'll be asked to sign in with the account that downloaded the app if it's not the same account that's currently signed into the App Store.

Did you install apps using one account, but are now signed into the App Store with a different account? If this is the case, you'll either need to sign into the App Store with the original account, or redownload the apps using the other account.

If you have multiple accounts so you can download apps that are available in a different/regional App Store, then there's really not much you can do about it and will have to keep signing in.

Again, this is just a guess, but it is one of the common causes for this issue.

If you can figure out the service or part of the OS that's asking for it, you can sign out from that section in the settings app and then re-sign in. I think your login token is missing something or is broken.

Could it be a beta issue? Did you come across it on 26.0?
Do you have more than one icloud account? Is it the MFA code it asks for?

Nope. Only one account. For everything, the same account. Doesn’t say where the request is from. It will just suddenly come up with a request to sign in.

Maybe it's for the Calendar/Contacts/Mail account. I usually end up being asked to re-enter those passwords on new phones.

Go to Settings-->Apps-->Calendar-->Calendar Accounts (similar path for Mail and Contacts) and see if there is an exclamation point or something there indicating it wants you to verify the password.

If that's not it, I would probably change the password, sign out of everything, reboot the phone, and sign back in.

Happened to me a few days ago, on all my devices.

I signed in on each, then it went away.

For some reason my iPad Mini running iOS26 needed to be last.

No prob after that.

I know all this. It’s not this. I am asked a dozen times a day to re-enter my password.
