I keep turning on or waking up my Macbook and seeing a grey log in looking screen that says "Update Needed." I click it, I log in, and then it performs some update, then logs me in like it normally would.

The problem is this happens almost EVERY time I turn it on, or if I let the computer sleep for a long time. At first I figured Apple was pumping out Yosemite updates for older Macs but I don't think that is the case, something is wrong here. What could be the problem?

Running Yosemite 10.10 on a Mid 2012 13inch Macbook pro 2.5 i5 w/ 4gbram

Thank you in advance!

Google "clean cache in macs" and try that. It may help. Seems like something is stuck in an update loop. Could also be something like a corrupted plist to do with the update if you could figure out what is updating somehow.
