Hi

Have an iPhone 6 under contract with AT&T but about to expire at end of month

Thinking of simply buying an unlocked phone from Apple and using on Consumer Cellular or Ting due to the potential savings (avg use of 1.5 GB and <500 mins <500 texts per month)

Has anyone here any experience of either service? They are the highest rated in a user survey on Consumer Reports

Thanks

Ting is an MVNO that uses Sprint's network if that means anything to you.

Thanks
Consumer Cellular is rated slightly higher by CR and AT&T is fine coverage-wise (just too expensive!)

Ting also runs off of T-Mobile... You can pick which carrier (CDMA or GSM) to use when signing up. Phone has to support it tho...
Thanks for bringing that up. I had completely forgotten about that part.

Which also reminds me…Ting is leaning towards going more GSM now right?
