Why did Apple make a Contacts app when you can view all your contacts under the Phone app? Doesn't make sense to me...

it's an easier, faster way to view your contacts. It makes sense, but i do wish you could delete their apps.

So you can MANAGE your contacts, and use them in other applications (mails, texting, 3rd party...)

Would it be so hard for Apple to add the scroll arrows that are in the mail app into the contact app? Or maybe while you are looking at a contact, the ability to move your finger across the screen to go to the next contact.

I'm aware you can hide it. I just really have no use to jailbreak anymore. Wastes too much of my time.

I agree, I'd love to delete stocks, weather and voice memos!
I just banish all of the unwanted icons to the farthest-right screen, as that's the hardest to get to. I think of that as the "purgatory" screen. :p

I think they just started off with one firmware for iphone and ipod, and since ipod didnt have phone icon they had to include contacts, which prob stayed over in the iphone firmware
