Contact group selections not sticking

I have multiple email accounts synced in iOS9 and all of them are showing up within the Contacts application (under All Groups) including suggested contacts from an exchange account which I need to hide permanently. Has anyone figured out a way to have their selections of which contact groups to show stick? Every time I quit the app, they default back to all being selected.

Are your groups staying in order? Mine are hopelessly scrambled.
