Contact List - multiples of each contact everytime I sync

My iphone 3Gs adds multiples of the same contact every time I sync to my main pc. I now have 5 identical listings for each person in my contact list. Any advice on how to prevent this from happening?

You're syncing to MobileMe or gmail and Address Book. Pick one, not both.
