Contact Name Not Showing On Front Screen

I have an iPhone 6S and have noticed that when I receive a text message the name of the sender does not show on the front screen.

However, when I unlock the phone I can see the senders details in the message app.

I had no problem with this on my iPhone 5S and I have checked and confirmed that the message app and phone settings all allow alerts to be shown on the locked screen etc.

Anyone experienced similar and know of a fix?
