Contact names not showing for calls/sms after Gevey Ultra unlock

I unlocked my iPhone 4 with the new Gevey Ultra today, and everything's working great except for one thing. Whenever I get a call or text, the phone number shows up instead of the contact name. These are the same contacts synced with my computer, so I'm assuming it must be something related to the Gevey unlock.

I tried installing "Caller ID format fix" on cydia, but I get an error saying that it can't install due to a conflict with FuriousMod (which has to be installed for Gevey to work).

Anyone know how to fix this? If it's international/country code related, I'd really rather not manually go in and add +1 to the beginning of all my numbers....

i read somewhere someone had to restore their phone after using the ultra.

after a complete restore, use the ultra to unlock it, then sync to the pc.

Yes, the Gevey Ultra SIM unlock method is a permanent unlock. As others have said, you should do a fresh restore before using the Gevey unlock, I have used the Gevey Ultra SIM to unlock an iPhone4 and I did not experience the issue you describe.

just curious, why do you need to restore. can't you just jailbreak it and unlock?


Also do you know if I restore, can I just use any atnt phone sim card to re-activate my phone?

The +1 trick is the only thing I got to work on my wife's phone that is using a gevey. I tried everything....even importing all of my properly working contacts from my phone to hers. Manually adding +1 is what you need to do. If you sync with iCloud get a buddy to start at the top of the list in Mac Address Book and you start on the bottom on the phone. Race to the middle....many hands make labor light.
