Has anyone noticed that Contacts use the 'phonetic first name' in sorting.

For example I used to have:

Aaron Short
Alan Smith
Bill Smith etc.

But when I add 'Erin' to Aaron Short as a phonetic name it puts it down with the other names starting with 'E'. Surely this can't be right??
