contact search when typing phone # tweak?

Is there a hack that will let me type in a name on the phone pad and it will bring up contacts like android?

Not sure I understand what you want but you can always type a contact's name in spotlight and pull up their info that way.

I do precisely what "Boshii" suggested. I use Spotlight for EVERYTHING. Or you can look at iSmartDialer as well:
